I have finnish subtitles that I need to add Babylon 5 season 3 DVD's. I have tried to do with this guide
http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/how-to-add-subtitles-to-an-episode-dvd-t287918.html
but ifoupdate gives me this error:

So what is wrong here?

DVDRemake shows this when I analyze the DVD. If this helps...

Not really. I find DVDRemake terribly misleading for what you want to know. I'd much rather see a VobBlanker pic of the VTS containing the episodes.

However, it looks to me like all the episodes are contained within the same VTS and same PGC. If so, I think you'll have to join/merge the subtitles into one large file before being able to add them to the DVD.

Also, that guide is the last one I'd use. Try this one (once you get the subs merged):

http://forum.videohelp.com/topic338721.html

I prefer the second method listed.

Here's VobBlanker's pic:

When I try the guide you asked me to try it shows this:

When I use PgcDemux
I get 4x .m2v / .ac3 / .sup files (episodes)
and 1x .m2v / .ac3 files
and 1x .m2v files.

How do I remux these with muxman?

I don't know of any other way to do it except to merge the subs into one big file and then mux them back into that first PGC. You'll notice that those individual episodes don't have any size. They're all referencing the first 4385 MB PGC.

Now I dont get it... each .m2v file is about 970 MB big... what do you mean that they dont have any size?

The VobBlanker picture explains it all. Only the first PGC can be replaced. None of the others.

How do you join sup-files? I tried with SubtitleCreator, no luck. Should I join the srt-files together and then convert that file into a sup-file?

@RG80

If, as "manono" has stated, "They're all referencing the first 4385 MB PGC.", I think you should be able to use DVD SubEdit to extract one continuous subtitle stream by loading your ripped DVD and selecting "Open full domain" from the "File" dropdown menu...

PcgDemux can also demux the continuous .sup-file from DVD...

I have 4 srt-files that I need to join together and convert to a big .sup file. How do I do that?

Sorry, I misread the first post of your thread.

You can use Subtitle Workshop to join the .SRT files, according to the following:

Hi,

You can also join srt files (but not sup files) using SubtitleCreator (file->join subtitles).
