I got this file:

from google video, it's mp4, and plays both video+music in windows media player 9. but in bsplayer v2 only video plays, no audio..
any ideaS? Tried gspot 2 but doesn't give any info on the mp4 contents.. any good mp4 content inspection software?

So, your file is Baseline h264 video & AAC audio wrapped in MP4 container. I also quickly looked at BSPlayer's website and found that BSPlayer does support AAC audio, so no-sound problem seems quite strange.
Could you please test any other file with AAC audio in BSPlayer in order to determine whether this is file-specific problem?

Render the MP4 file in GraphEdit or GraphStudio to see how the audio part is getting decoded. Also, your GSpot version seems to be outdated. The latest beta supports MP4 files just fine.

Cool, thanks for all the information!! I installed: http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2dbm04s5dzg (Core AAC) and now both video/audio play ok.
before graphedit said some codecs are not supported, now it shows audio OK too.
