DVD2SVCD:
In doom9's 1/11 announcement, he mentioned that CCE 2.64 doesn't accept .avs files. In the thread about the CCE issues, you mentioned that you tested CCE 2.64, which I assume was able to read the input data from the file but froze during the encoding process. Did you feed the data through the VFAPI .avi frameserver or does CCE 2.64 in fact work (somewhat anyway) with .avs files?
Had to ask.
Thanks!

Where did I say I have tested 2.64 ?

I made an assumption without realizing it:
Quote from DVD2SVCD:
"SUCCESS!!! As you could see in a former post of mine I had still issues with CCE crashing in "Dinosaur" and "Scary Movie 2". I had for test reasons installed the trial from Doom9's page and IT IS LIKELY TO GIVE YOU CCE CRASHES, don't ask me why"
Doom9 recently posted the 2.64 trial version, but I understand that you meant the 2.50 trial now. Sorry about that goof-up.
I assume that DVD2SVCD+AVISynth is higher quality or more capable than (FLASK or XMPEG or DVDx whatever it is)+AVIWrapper? (http://www.rmvos.nl/body_wordofedwin.html http://www.horizon.nl/~michel/uk/default.htm) To bad there wasn't somebody already smart enough and willing to update avisynth to support more applications such as AVIWrapper ... I assume that Edwin van Eggelen is unwilling for some reason...ohwell
Me? I've always used DVD2AVI rather than Flask....Flask seemed to have too many options that I didn't need....more opportunity for me to mess up the process. Of course, now that I have the wonderful DVD2SVCD product, I never have to do this manually anymore, thus wasting my time. However, I did notice many Macrovision blocks in a particular scene from 'The Emperors New Groove' in the output from DVD2AVI that I haven't ever noticed from the output of my standalone DVD player. I remember very well because I kept reencoding the video with different encoder settings trying to get rid of the Macrovision blocks before realizing that the SOURCE data in the MP2 encoder, delivered from DVD2AVI, had the macrovision blocks in it.
Thanks!
