I've read many answers to this, but just can't seem to find a great answer.

So, I want to be able to take short clips from DVD Movies that I own and make music videos. I use Sony Vegas Video and would like to drop the video into that program and add my own music or voice overs to the audio track.

I use DVD shrink and after a lot of reading forums - I have figured out how to edit and get the smaller clips from the movie.

I get serious sync issues when I try to add these files into Vegas Video or the files won't load at all.

What and How do I get a f this clip into a file format like MPEG 2 that Vegas will like without sync issues?

Thanks in advance.

Why is sync an issue if you are adding your own music and voiceovers?

Well there are times I'd like to keep the audio track original. But, I think I found the answer I was looking for people wanting to edit using Vegas Video. If you use DVD Shrink to save scenes in VOB format on your hard disk then use VOB2MPG program it converts very nicely and I've had no issues whatsoever.
