Hi,

I have movies which can't play on my PS3.

File data:
-710MB
-AVI container
-MPEG-4 ASP video
-MP3 audio

The problem is MPEG-4 ASP doesn't play on PS3, so I'm looking for a tool that'll transcode MPEG-4 ASP into MPEG-4 AVC or any other format that'll play on my PS3

Untill now I'm doing this:
1.I remux the AVI file into a MKV container using AVIDEMUX, I copy the video and transcode the MP3 audio into AC3
2.then I use MKVEXTRACT to extract the AC3 audio file
3.then I use MeGUI's MKV MUXER to mux the original AVI and the AC3 audio into an MKV

4.I use MKV2VOB (great tool !!!) to transcode the MKV into VOB which is playable on PS3.
The problem is it takes minimum 2-3hours to transcode the video (using MPEG-2) but the output file size is 2553MB wich is almost 4 times bigger as the original AVI.
When I use x.264 (slow) transcoding takes 10 hours and output is 728MB which is ok

I've been searching the forum for 3 days but I can't find any tool to transcode MPEG-4 ASP into MPEG-4 AVC (or any other PS3 video format) in +/- 2 hours or less, is there someone who can help me or point me in the right direction.

THX
