Well this this is just great the way it crashes during the mpv encode every time, I tried the two solutions that were posted, no help. I think I'll just go back to Tmpeg and doing it manually for now unless someone comes up with a better idea. I can't imagine what it would be like for someone who paid the retail price of $4000 US for this thing and still had these problems. Maybe that's why they discontinued the Avisynth support, because they couldn't fix it!

what are the specs on your computer? I only had one problem with CCE... it was the CRC error on multi pass... but that was fixed easily. I hope you get it to work.
peace,

I have a Celeron 1.1 w/512MB ram on an Abit Bh6 motherbaord w/voodoo 3 3000 video. I also just built an Athalon 1600+ on a Soltek board w/512 MB DDR ram with a geforce 2 card. Same problem shows up on both systems. They both run XP Pro. CCE main window greys out and says (not responding) on the header bar but the progress window is counting off the numbers just fine. It will go through the entire vaf file like that and complete it but at some point in the middle of the mpv file it will freeze and just stop counting with no error.
Actually I did get a successful completeion of CCE 1 time out of 10 and DVD2SVCD did make the images but the images burned nothing but a half dozen coasters with CDRwin 3.8G even though they were 74 minute images on 800 MB CDRs. I turned the bin files back into mpegs and they burned fine in Nero using the SVCD authoring. That was the only time I had a sucessful completetion though.

Thanks, I'm going to give that new built a try. I don't know if it really has anyhting to so with DVD2SVCD though since CCE crashes even using it as a stand alone program to process the avisynth file.
