Hello,
I hope somebody can help me with this problem.
When I convert the movie WWF Summerslam 2002 (NTSC/region 2)to Pal everything goes ok. But when DVD2SVCD has finished and I'll burn it on a cd at 4x and play it on my standalone player the beginning looks ok. But in a while (after 3 min) the movie begins to shaken/shokking. I've checked NTSC to PAL but choosen "no deinterlace". Is that why I can't play the movie? Should I choose smartdeinterlace?
Maybe somebody could tell me what I did wrong and which settings I have to choose. It's the first time I converted a NTSC movie. Normaly I have PAL and I had never problems with that.
Please help me!

I don't know much about PAL ...can't get a PAL DVD in America that I know of. Anyway read doom9 news ..here I cut/pasted it for ya
1/16 Another guides day today: I redid the NTSC -> PAL conversion part of my AVI to VCD & SVCD guide (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/avi2svcd.htm) as the old method would give choppy and asynch results.
Also you could try reading what Upperfield option does under CCE encoding.

I have seen the same on two PAL DVD converted to PAL SVCD.
In that case it did not matter which program I converted the film with.
Both of the film that this occured on where cheap DVD movies. I beleave that this has to do with how the movies where encoded.
The movies where "The fall of the roman empire" and "The golden years" in Region 2 with scandinavian selectable subtitles.
I gave up on converting them alltogether.

I now what you meaning. When I read that at the back of the cover I thought, hmmm NTSC and region 2???????? That must be PAL. But it isn't. By the way does anyone knows how to see what kind of movie I have? I mean if it is 25,000 fps or 23,78 fps. Maybe there's a kind of program that can give me a answer.

Try to open the VOB files with DVD2AVI and then press F5.
There should appear a new window on the right side which should give you the information about the movie itself (fps, NTSC/PAL, interlaced etc.).
