Problems encoding "Blade Runner" with VirtualDub

Hi,

yesterday I tried to make a DivX4-Rip of Blade Runner Director's Cut. SmartRipper worked fine, DVD2AVI and VFAPI, too.
But when I tried to encode it with VirtualDub (DivX 4.12), there was an error message: "Unable to start video compression error: bad format (-2)".
Any idea, what's the problem? Other encoders like XMPEG or GKnot work fine, but I wanna encode with VirtualDub (more options).
