latest stable version of avisynth ?

I had to reinstall XP on the PC and am wondering which is the "right" version of AVIsynth and where to download it.

I got v2.5.7 from the foom9 downloads page, whoever I thought there was a v2.6 (is it stable ?) Didn't easily spot the info on the q/a or wiki. :thanks:

What you downloaded is indeed the latest stable. I, however, am currently using v2.58 a2 with no issues so far. There's also a v2.6 Pre-Alpha, but the bugs identified and fixed after v2.57 was out haven't been retrofitted into v2.6. If you ask me, you can safely use v2.58 a2. If it b0rks for some reason, you can always downgrade.
