hello,

i recently bought a portable dvd play that also take a sd chip and can handle divx video (it might also handle xvid), not sure yet, i do not have it yet and there were no online manuals.

anyway, i downloaded vidomi to start to try to convert some videos to divx. when i tried this, i ended up with a video with no audio. i tried changing audio channels and this did not work either.

any ideas? is there other options for this with freeware and does nero handle divx?

thank you

anthony

You may want to try autogk (the most popular I think) or avi.net (easy to use).

Nero does not do divx.

Hi
You could also try Handbrake, it is easy to use and converts to xvid.

Vidomi uses Lame MP3 audio - your player may not be able to handle that. Vidomi is an antiquated program anyway, which hasn't seen any updates in almost six years. AutoGK is almost as simple and delivers a better quality video. There is a standalone option that you may need to use to have compatibility with your player.
