Besides AnyDVD HD, are there any other programs that allow realtime playing of encrypted or hardware restricted discs?

DVDFab seems to be good at ripping, but I don't ever remember hearing it can play realtime, just rip. Does it remove the hardware requirement (on rips)?

Are there any other programs that do this? $100 seems a bit steep for AnyDVD, which is why I'm looking for options.

Thanks!

Hi!Besides AnyDVD HD, are there any other programs that allow realtime playing of encrypted or hardware restricted discs?

Isn't PowerDVD the primary software for playing commercial HD and BluRay discs?

Sorry, let me rephrase.

I have a PC strong enough to play HD-DVD and Bluray discs. However, my monitor is NOT HDMI/HDCP compliant. AnyDVD HD allows me to play the discs in realtime without ripping to the hard drive. DVDFab Decrypter allows me to rip and THEN play the movies. I play the movies in Either Nero Showtime 4 or Arcsoft Digital Theater Intro Edition.

Since I do not really like the idea of paying around $100 for software that isn't even the actual video player, I was wondering if any other software allowed real-time playing of HD movies by bypassing the HDCP restrictions.

Does that make more sense?
