Hi,

What does Smartripper do so well ?
besides writing an lst file which takes me 20 seconds to do so.
It bugs on most DVD's for me.

DVDdecrypter only gives an error on the fly that I can't read the targeted block.

Smartripper just sits their initiative, hanging my system (W2K) untill I hold my power button several seconds.

I haven't met any program that is as annoying as Smartripper.
I only use it when I feel good and a rampage won't ruin my day ;-)

DBDdecryptoer is more simple, does makes more sense to me

am I doing something wrong, becuse some DVD's I just can't copy to my HDD ?

cheerio, Tim

SmartRipper parses the IFO files meaning you can choose certain chapters, angles etc within the movie.
Which DVDs are you having trouble with?
Do you mean you physically cannot get them onto your hdd, or just that when you do, they are all screwed up?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
Some newer DVD's I can't copy physically to my HD,
with the error I gave.

This means my DVD-reader is a bad one I guess.

It could either be a bad drive, or bad disc. I take it you have tried clicking Retry and Ignore a few times. The odd bad sector here and there shouldnt make any difference...after all, there are hundreds of thousands of them!
