Sorry for my poor English,
I Just bought a new Sony SR12 (1920x1080 50i) to replace my Sony PC330 sd Mini DV and I REALLY need your help !!
The camcorder produces fine m2ts files which I -drag & drop- transfer to my hard drive. I have two options to view them to my PS3, either
- copy the m2ts files to a cd/dvd/hdd or
- edit them in Sony Vegas 8 and render a modified video
Because all these years I used to edit Mini DV in Vegas and then render the dv avi in Procoder with excellent results, please give me your knowledge with regard to the hereunder matters
1) If I render the timeline from Sony Vegas to mainconcept mpeg2 HD 1920x1080 50i 25mpbs, will I get the same quality like procoder 3 encoder? More specifically, the Vegas rendering process is acceptable in terms of quality?
2) If 1 answer is no, is there a way to “link” my project from vegas to procoder in order for procoder to do the encoding process??
3) Last but not least, how can I produce SD DVD (for friends who don’t have HD equipment) from my edited video in vegas? Will I have to use the internal mainconcept encoder or (again) can I link it to an external encoder (Procoder)?
I hope I don’t have to leave out procoder 3 for my projects, because it produces excellent results for my SD dv avi and I paid a LOT OF MONEY to purchase it.
