Normally I have no issues of oversizing in DVD Rebuilder, but lately I am getting the odd DVD that won't size properly. I can't get it to make an iso that will fit a dvd-r. Most times it it fine, but when it doesn't work it is usually just 100mb over or so. I am using the HC encoder. Anyone have a fix for this. Thanks.

Have you made any changes to your INI file (eg targetsectors)?

No I have not touched any settings. I don't adjust much. I had never had an oversized problem before. It has just been recently and only a small few have had this problem. Thanks.

Does the source material have ILVUs/angles?

No angles, it is Disc one of Married With Children Season 8. It is basically 8 episodes the menu and some trailers. Thanks.

Were you adjusting anything in the preview window or simply accepting the default resize allocations assigned by DVDRB?

I have not touched the preview settings at all. They are as they come when you install it for the first time. Thanks.

I sorta fixed it. I always use the HC encoder, so when I got the oversized output again I tried the Quenc encoder. It took longer, but the Quenc encoder sized it properly to fit DVD-5. Not sure why, I never had problems with HC before. Anyway it would be nice to figure out why sometimes the HC doesn't size correctly.

If I had to guess, I would say your source is interlaced, correct? I have always had problems with HC and it's sizing of interlaced material, especially at lower bitrates. I always have to use RbOpt to lower target sectors and re-encode. Initial results are always 40-100MB over target.
