When I Decrypt some movies by DVD Decrypter, I got audio or subtitle delay in the name of them something like

(VTS_01_1 - 0x80 - Audio - AC3 - 6ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY 86432ms)

then when I do authoring I got real delay with audio or subtitle, I try many times to delay audio by DVD Lab to synchronize audio to video.........

my question is there any way to know how much exactly delay is, to be able add or remove this time by DVD lab

Thanks in advance

You mean, even if you try to synchronize the audio & subs by +/- XYZms (the delay from the file name), it doesn't work? It would be rare that this is the case, but if it is, there is no other way but to manually sync everything by trial and error, but the real delay in that case would probably be a multiple of the file name delay.

@SUPERIOR

Sounds like you may be dealing with an older Disney release that contains the first iteration of "RipGuard" copy protection (DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 APPEARS to rip these properly, but the end result is less than perfect).

What is the Title and Region number of the DVD?

@unskinnyBoy

yeah, I try to use the same number that shown in the name of file, but it doesn't help at all
I just wonder if there is a specific way to find out the correct time with compiling

@setarip_old
this happens with me alot(the last movie I got this problem is
The Golden Compass)
as to title & region, I always don't look at them

DVD Decrypter, when used the traditional way won't handle the newer titles, and if you were using DVD Decrypter to decrypt all these titles, including The Golden Compass, then that's probably why you are getting the desync. You need to use one of the newer decryption utilities - RipIt4Me, DVDFab Decrypter etc. If you are still getting the desync, like I have already mentioned before, you need to manually sync them (read my previous post again).

@SUPERIORWhen I Decrypt some movies by DVD Decrypterthe last movie I got this problem is The Golden CompassThere is no way you could have used DVD Decrypter to rip "The Golden Compass", due to the "XProtect" copy protection used on that New Line release.

Are you ripping purchased, commercial DVDs or "something else"?

Thanks a lot setarip_old and unskinnyboy for supporting

@unskinnyboy
well, maybe I couldn't express my problem by right way so this time I hope I'll do it
first off, my main goal is adding arabic subtitle to the DVD movie(like "the Golden Compass")
to do that, I have to decrypt it by DVD Decypter (version 3.5.4.0)....now I get the demux files(Audio & Video & subtitles).....then, working with DVD lab begins where I have to add the demux files besides the Arabic subtitle
after compiling it, I got movie with no synchronization between audio and video(there's a delay) usually I try to use option (audio delay) in DVD lab to synchronize but I have to do it many times and that's my problem

@setarip_old
I'm just trying to add subtitle to movie, and this DVD is "something else" it belongs to my friend and I've no idea how he got it :confused:

Maybe they didn't bother to put X-Protect on Syrian-made R2 DVDs, simply because the ROI isn't there, and DVD Decrypter somehow plowed through it.

SUPERIOR, Still it can't be discounted that the DVD could have other unwanted junk which might be causing the desync. You should still try a newer decryption method, if at least to "clean up" the VOBs, if not for the sole purpose of getting those VOBs onto the hard disk. If you still fail, the manual resynching solution remains the same. To really nail it down, step up/down in steps of 32ms, if the audio is AC3.

Good luck helping your friend.

I'm just trying to add subtitle to movie, and this DVD is "something else" it belongs to my friend and I've no idea how he got itIf this means that, in addition to the fact that you don't own the source material, it's not an original, commercial DVD, then You might want to RE-read the "Announcement" at the top of the "Newbies" sub-forum, as well as all of the Forum Rules (particularly #6) - especially since any member providing assistance here might also be "struck"...
