I have a region-free DVD9 that I've tried playing in different players..but it goes straight to the movie. Menu files are present.

Can someone PLEASE direct me as to HOW TO CORRECT this.
I have IfoEdit...and other software...would greatly appreciate your help...and also I have 2 other DVDs where this happens as well.

Mods..please forgive me if I've posted in the wrong section.

Then it would seem that the menu structure is not addressed in the .IFOs (Typically seen in "other than commercial" DVDs).

Please post the filenames and filesizes of ALL files appearing in the "VIDEO_TS" folder of one of the DVDs

What is the Title and Region number of this DVD?...

The DVD is probably authored so as to play the movie (some are like this) and with PUOps to stop the user from going to the menu.

Load it into PgcEdit. Run DVD --> Filter Prohibited User Operations and get rid of them all.

Then use this guide (http://www.digital-digest.com/~blutach/Jump2PGC/Jump2PGC_guide.html) to get you to the main menu.

^ blutach - i love you :)

on another note...i've tried using ripit4me on this (as dvd decrypter, & fab do not work)...it recognizes 3 IFOs...but on the 3rd there is a series of errors.

the disc is BRAND new (Rangeela, R0, DVD9 - bollywood film) unscratched...yet i'm having trouble ripping it properly to the hard-drive.

any other methods i could try to successfully rip it?

Perhaps, despite it being brand new, the disk is damaged. An exchange may be in order.
