I have a DVD with 5 episodes on it, all 5 episodes are part of the same pgc, which has 33 chapters.

It has a main menu to select which episode to view, I assume each button is jumping to a different chapter in that pgc, is there an easy way to find which chapter the button is jumping to? even better would be a way to automate the process of dividing up each set of vob's into their separate episodes.

Try pgcedit.

Hi!

For a NON-PC method, play the DVD on your standalone player and either look at the information on the player's display face, or click on the "Display" button of the remote control...

Divving up VOBs into separate chapters would remove the seamless playback. But separate episodes are fine - this is quite usual. DVD Remake Pro (http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/index.php) can do this quite easily.

As foxyshadis has said, PgcEdit (http://www.videohelp.com/~r0lZ/pgcedit/index.html) can show you the commands (and even trace) your DVD.
