I just wonder if anyone can help me out
I did search in google for this tactic and read many articles and posts about it but I can't figure out how I can protect my DVD by this way ....so if can help me by explaining simply how I can use this technique to protect my DVD, that would be a great favor......

Hi!

I'm sure that in your Googlesearch-ing you came to understand that CPRM is a protection concept that involves a combination software and HARDWARE.

As such, I'd be hardpressed to see how an individual could implement such protection...

Thanks Setarip_Old for your replying....
I was talking on behalf of my friend who has a little company that does some Montages on DVD and he wants to protect them from illegal copying.....
for that, my question went
pardon me for being insistent, but if you can tell me a little about the hardware & software stuff
Thanks in advance

Tell him not to bother - all protections can be broken quickly.

Actually, CPRM is quite easy to put on a disc. All your friend has to do is get a stand alone DVD recorder (not a computer drive), and record his footage with that. I think most if not all such recorders use CPRM. Of course, no one will be able to play the recordings except your friend, and only on the device that recorded it, but at least you won't have to worry about illegal copies!

Seriously though, I agree with Blutach. Even the super duper protections on the new HD discs (AACS, BD+) are not standing up to attacks.
