HOW CAN I PLAY H264 WITH POWER DVD 8 ?
I HAVE

let me guess
you are trying to play .mkv files, right ?
if that so, you need to rename the .mkv file to an extension that PowerDVD support, such as .avi, .mov, etc...

so for example if your video was named Video.mkv
rename it to Video.mov and then play it with PowerDVD

i rename the file : Video.mov
and the PowerDVD can't play the file
this is power dvd 8 and not 7 !

what was the original name ?

may be you made it video.mov.mkv (note the extensions of files are usually hidden)

to make the extensions of files visible, go to folder options ==> "View"

and remove the tick from the "Hide extensions for known file types"

after you do that, make sure that the name of your video end with .mov

what is the video and codec of it (if you know) ?

NOE WITH " AVI " THE FILE WORK ! :thanks:

BUT series i can only hear for 20 sec like two_and_a_half men h264 550 MB ac3
what to do ? ( with .avi )

i discover how to play series hdtv
you need to rename the file : Video.wmv

and movie video.avi
