I an having an issue with a divx encoded file I am trying to play. When 'output YUV 4:2:0 when supported' is checked the video and audio play out of sync. When it is unchecked it plays just fine.

My questions are:

Why?
What does this option do?
How can I fix it?

I have always had this option checked before and never had an issue with any other divx file I've ever played. So why this one?

1) Load "this one" into GSpot and post a screen capture back here

2) What different software and procedures did you use to create this problematic DivX-compressed .AVI versus the earlier DivX-compressed .AVIs?
