I found the lastest post xvidcore.dll at http://tirnanog.fate.jp/mirror/XviD/gcc/

many edtion here:stupid:...i know the core2 & p4 diff maybe support ssse3/sse4 ...
but whats the diff Pent-M & P4 & Prescott ...
and there is no edtion for core duo 2 after 2008..
so which one is best for CoreDuo 2, bcos i have a coreduo2 cpu...
anyone can help me ? thx!:thanks:

1st Question is WHATS THE DIFF between these edition
2nd obviously thr has one labeled "Core2" BUT not after 2008
so can you help me more

Maybe the -march settings. Enables/disables optimizations such as sse/mmx/whatever.

Yep -march=xxx
So for Core2 Prescott in the absence of core2. I might compile gcc 4.3 later and add a core2 build.

I think I read somewhere that -march=prescott -mtune=generic substitutes for the core2, but not completely.

I think I'm gonna try to do a build for all the different platforms with VAQ once I get my mingw/gcc working again.

The above builds include VAQ. I also renamed the VfW label to Variable Based AQ or something similar to make it more clear.
