I have encoded a couple of DVD's with the latest full release 1.05.4, but yesterday was the first time I played any of the new ones created with a 1.05 build on my stand alone DVD player. In Gladiator I would get occasional, but consistent, audio glitches. It's hard to explain, but they sound like a bump with a little drop off in the main audio. The audio remained clear. It was not distorted the way too high a bitrate would be. It seems that there is data being sent to my sub that shouldn't be there. I never had this problem with any of the previous builds (1.04 any build and before).
I also tested Scary Movie 2 and the same thing happened.
I am re-encoding Gladiator with a lower bitrate just in case, but the way it happens, the lack of distortion, the lack of any video problems leads me to believe the problem is not in the bitrate.
Does anyone else have this problem and also does anyone else use the SVCD's in a 5.1 - 7.1 setup with sub?
I am curious to find out if anyone else with a similar setup to mine has a problem or if it's something I need to look into on my end?
Just to add I am only using 1 audio track and no subtitles.
Thanks,
Mark
