After encoding a movie with 6 channel DTS audio, upon playback, I can only hear background noise, no main dialog or music. If I set my player to downmix to stereo, the dialog is audible as usual, which leads me to believe that the issue may be with an audio codec setting rather than my encoder settings. I get the same result using either MPC w/ Haali (1.7.401.3) or VLC. Any help would be greatly appreciated - as fun as it is to encode, it kind of ruins the experience when you have to watch your movies with 2 channel audio.

An obvious question, perhaps, but still worth asking:

Is the system you're using for playback specifically capable of processing and outputting DTS audio?

BTW - What software and procedures did you use to encode/create the DTS audiostream and the videostream?

Hardware-wise, I'm just on an integrated chip, just your basic SoundMAX HD (driver ver. 5.10.1.4530). I wouldn't be at all surprised if I just have to upgrade my sound card, I gave up my Extigy when I upgraded to a 7.1 system and still need to get a new Audigy card.

Encoding-wise, I'm just using AutoMKV w/ direct source audio copy

Update - I disabled AC3Filter and, using MPC's built-in DTS decoder, the sound is fine. So goodbye AC3Filter.
