I want to make copies of all my DVD's and LCD's tp DivX.
I use Faur Use for converting my DVD;s. It takes about 4 hours per film but the copy is very good. I have not found a good way to convert by VCD's. I have been diong the following:
A. Copy each *.dat file to HD and rename cd 1 cd 2 etc
B. Convert each file to *.mgg using VCD Gear
C. Join the files together with Easy Joiner.
D. Convert the joined file useing ImToo RM Converter.

It's a relatively speedy process but the quality is terrible. Very fuzzy picture.

Is their a better way to do this that will give a higher quality output?

Thanks

use free avi.NET (for avi format) or Dr.DivX (for divx format)
btw vcds are difficult to convert.sounds like you are converting to rm-if so use one of the free tools recommended on this forum, they can do a much better job than anything else.
