Reads disk error

I downloaded from my sony camcorder and made a movie using windows movie maker.
I copied it to a dvd but when I tried to play it im my stand alone dvd player, it said disk error. Any idea what I did wrong?

How did you burn it? Post a burn log please.

Check for VIDEO_TS folder.

I uploaded from my Sony to a computer having the adaptor and made the movie then copied it to another computer that haas a dvd burner. I pasted to the dvd burner. I could find no video_ts file

There must have been some burning software. That would usually have a log. Without it, we are only guessing.

But if it is in DVD format (IFO/VOB/BUP files), they need to be on your disc in a folder called VIDEO_TS. For compatibility reasons another folder called AUDIO_TS should also be there at the same level as VIDEO_TS, but it should be empty.

I downloaded imgburn and used it. I got as far as finishing the burn but it came with the error disk error
