I'm looking for an active splitter for component video (YPrPb). Since there are adapters to get the signal into a Scart cable, would it be possible to use (active) Scart splitters for this?
The resolution will only be 480i or 480p.

Any active spliter for SCART should work, also you may try to use active VGA splitter (which should be better than SCART splitter due much more higher bandwith of the VGA - levels of signal are the same for VGA and ordinary TV signals - with only one exceptions - sync signals for VGA are TTL level compatible)

I'm asking about a Scart splitter because I'm only going to need it once, and I know someone who has one.
And I don't know how active splitters works. Do they need to understand the signal to be able to recreate it, or do they just make certain frequencies stronger and remove others?
The latter shouldn't (?) have problems with 480i because it's the same amount of data, but 480p?

Oh, and since I already have a few composite&stereo-Scart adapters - will the splitter treat audio different than video, or do I need to get the component signals through the RGB wires?
