Hello,

Since yesterday I get the following error message:
http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j269/msmits/error.jpg

In the error log file:

[10:08:04] 00000 00009 attempting to open DVD.
[10:08:40] 00000 00055 attempting to open DVD.

I get this message when I select a source, on various hard disks.

I am sure I DO select a source as I made many succesfull rebuilds while selecting it on the same way, but now I get that error message.

I am using the latest version.
I also did a re-install of DVD rebuilder...still got the error.

A source that worked before, doesnt work anymore.
I am not trying to access the source via USB2, it's on my local hard drive.

Can someone help?

I tried another source on my laptop..that worked.

As jdobbs stated in another thread, it could be a protection issue.
Strange to me is that a source that worked before no longer works anymore.
What program can take out all the protections?

A rip that didnt work before I re-ripped it with dvd shrink (no compression off course) and now DVD rebuilder handles it perfectly :)

Problem is probably solved.

Looks like it was indeed a protection issue.

This is a common error if you start DVD rebuilder and then switch the source (like loading another DVD) after Rebuilder has already read the IFOs at startup. Once you get it, you have to exit DVD-RB completely and restart to get it working properly. Any chance that could have happened?

One DVD I re-ripped with DVD shrink. This helped because I no longer received the error.

But with another rip I still get the error, even after using DVD Shrink.

@jdobbs: Exiting DVD - RB completely and restart it doesnt help.

It looks like I have a corrupt rip. That's what causes that error.
Is that possible?

Probably is a corrupt rip... but odd you'd get that error -- it is an indicator that a file is already open at the time DVD-RB is attempting to do so.
