I am trying to figure out how to calculate to "highest" and average bitrate,as my dvd player can play svcd's up to 4000k, the only prob is that all the bitrate calcs I find tend to give me an average or they will give me a top bitrate of 2592. How do I calculate using my own top bitrate and average AND the ability to fit it on the size disk I want.(within reason of course...I am not unrealistic in my expectations)I would like someway to set my top bitrate to 3000k and figure the average from there...is there a formula for this?

Have you tried Fitcd?

For number of CDs, max (and min) won't matter. You only need to calculate the average - you can set the max to whatever you want (within reason, of course ;) ).
