I am using Vista ultimate x64 and it seems pgcedit is hanging when I open a DVD. The DVD is a folder in my harddrive that was processed by vobblanker as I need to split it into 2.
I never had such problem before.
any suggestions/ideas?
thank you very much :)

Does the DVD have many PGCs? I remember Garfield had 30,000 in one VTS and took about 10 minutes to open.
Does the same project disc hang on XP?

Try this. Launch PgcEdit, but do not open the DVD at startup. Them use the File menu (not the toolbar or the shortcut key) to open it. Do you see an error message? If yes, copy/paste the full message here.
Also, have you noticed this problem only with thatDVD, or with all DVDs you open?

no error message. it's stuck somewhere. All I can see is a window saying "pgcedit: load nav pack"
I tried opening several DVDs including original DVDs (using the discs).

Original DVDs won't work since they are CSS encrypted (and possibly have advanced protections on them). They will error out with that navpack warning while parsing menu buttons.
Rip the DVD to the hard drive first.

all I see is the window title.since it's hanging, the text on the window body is not displayed.

Try to turn off the option to play a sound when a dialog is shown. Look in options -> User interface.
