View Full Version : VobSub creates 0 byte Sub Idx files

Hello!

I'm trying to rip the subtitles off the Alien Quadrilogy boxset. I use VobSub all the time for this and had never problems. This time, I start it, everything seems to work fine, VobSub takes it usual time to process the ifo's but the generated .sub file has 0 bytes and the idx file has no timestamps.
What can I do to fix this?

Chris

You must first copy (decrypt) your DVD to your harddisk (use DVDFab for this).

Did this already with DVDDecrypter

Maybe this can help...

I had the same problem with episodes of The Simpsons. Remember you must use in VobSub the same PGC number you ripped with DVDDecrypter. Otherwise, VobSub won't extract any subtitle, so you will get 0-byte files.

Thanks alot, will give it a try! I already ripped the subs with SubRip, but I'll try it with VobSub as well.
