In Auto GK I keep getting a Video Compression error in Virtualdub when I'm trying to convert. What do I do?

I get the same error and yes it is "Error -2"...

What am I doing wrong?

You need to give more details. But in my experience, I get this "Error -2" when I tried to encode in Divx with a profile that didn't support the resolution I was giving it. For instance, I was trying to feed Divx 720x480 material and not realizing Divx was set for mobile profile that only accepts up to 320x240...
