Unreferenced audio and subpictures

What's the deal with them? They are enabled by default, but when I set options to remove foreign language tracks, the unreferenced streams get removed too.

It's no big deal either way -- they don't really exist. It's just an indicator that there was an entry in the IFO's audio table, but it wasn't referenced in any of the PGCs. I may change DVD-RB so they aren't even displayed (to avoid confusion).

I didn't think they mattered. I just wanted to make sure since many of my DVDs have a tons of them. Thanks.

There's at least one standard authoring package (I can't remember which) that does it that way... so you see it fairly often.
