First off all sorry for my crappy English. I will try to describe the situation.:)
I am a core2 t5200 uesr, using the latest mencoder over vp6vfw.dll to encode vp6 flash video, but it can only use 50% of my cpu.
Is there any way to make it use duo(above 50%)
Thanks!

the situation also happens in avs2avi.
does the vfw encode can only supput single core?

Most likely that encoder implementation is not multi-threaded, so it will only run on one core. However, if you have multiple video files to encode, you could encode two or three of them at the same time to get a full CPU load.

except vfw,is there any other software can encode vp6?like x264 cli?

the newer flash encoder "may" be multithreaded, but im not sure at all.
however why VP6?

because there still a lot of online video website can support vp6&h263,just a few of then can also use the new h264.
so I just wonder if there is any encoder can encode vp6 over CLI(for batch encode)and also work mutithreaded.
PS:what's the newer flash encoder?you mean mm flash cs3?
:stupid:

http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/flashpro/productinfo/encoder/
this is the old encoder...
the new one is supposed to be multithreaded and support h.264 too.
however it is not available yet.

They use a Linux version of On2's commercial (and probably quite expensive) Flix Engine (http://www.on2.com/index.php?474) software. See the specs here: http://www.on2.com/index.php?475
