Here's now a new beta version of IfoEdit, for testing.

It is able to process VOB files, that have got angles!
If you strip or rempeg something in the VOB files with IfoEdit,
then it will correct now tha angle-pointers in the navigation packs too.
And the IFO tables will get updated correctly too, even with angles.

What the new version is not able, is to remove angle's or angle information. So you have to rip the whole DVD as usual.

It's beta, so please test it, and report me any errors or successes.

Thank You Derrow!
I'm going to test it now! :D

I don't have The Matrix R1 right now at home.
If someone has it, try to test ifoedit with it.
I think it's the best way to test ifoedit's new beta version... (Taxidermista's "Old Classic" suggestion).
If The Matrix works with ifoedit, it's a good signal :D

Might be. Cause I only analysed Shrek, and updated IfoEdit to support angles, but I did not burn Shrek yet.
So I'm not sure if everything will work 100%.

But until now, it seems, that there's no bug. Someone just reported to me, he burned Matrix R2 and it worked now with IfoEdit v0.82b.

Right, you must rempeg the whole movie with angles. But I've heard that ReMPEG2 has problems with some Movies that have got angles, and where the GOPs are not closed.

So the rempeg procedure won't work with every movie. But I will enhance IfoEdit, to remove angle-information. So in future you can rip a movie with 1 angle only, and let IfoEdit remove all Angle-Info, then this prob should be gone.

Derrow, is there a way that you would not have to use rempeg? I hate using rempeg. #1 it takes way too long. #2 you do lose quality and #3 it is buggy.

I just tried the new ifoedit with phantom menace again and it went crazy in the first couple scenes where there were angles. But, it was able to grab them this time rather than just stopping on them before.

I'll attach my ifo's if you want to take a look.

Thanks,

WZ

derrow is working on it.. give him time and you'll be able to use cce instead of rempeg.. and strip out the angles you don't need.

Great job, Derrow!
3 movies that didn't work before, now work without any problem!
(tested with PowerDVD and Philips standalone)

Maybe, the next step is to get better video quality (with CCE or TMPGEnc)...

Thank you again!
