View Full Version : DVD Decrypter Not Ripping Subs?

Hi all,

Just was trying to decode a move and its subs. First and foremost, the sub stream is properly identified. But...

I am able to demux the subs into their own set of files (I suppose I can try to figure out how to merge them and use them with AutoGK which I've been using to encode with, but it doesn't readily seem to support more than one external sub file).

However, if I disable stream processing (or even if I enable it and keep the sub stream as "Direct Stream Copy"), the resulting rip has no subs anywhere that I can see. The "Stream Information" text file does not mention the sub stream at all. Maybe I should be using a different player to see if the subs are actually in the VOB files, but the ones I've tried don't see anything of the sort.

The DVD Decrypter log does not seem to indicate any stream problems.

Where did the sub stream disappear to?

TIA!

FWIW, it seems that it depends on what file splitting is selected in the configuration. I had per-chapter splitting set up and when I changed it back to the default 1GB splitting, the sub streams suddenly came back. Seems like a bug, but I guess I can live with it (yes, I had reasons for doing chapter splitting...)
