Does upgrading the bitrate mkv to m2ts improve video quality

HI All ,

I would like to know if a have a 3000 Kpbs MKV source file and i convert it to a 7000 Kpbs m2ts file if it improves the video quality. Or is it the same quality if i had converted to
3000 Kpbs m2ts file ?

Quality will only be as good as the original. And any time you reencode a video to a lossy format, you will lose even more quality.
