I've been trying to record PSP games for a while, but I haven't been able to find a Component capture card for a while >_>
Then someone told me about this:

http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/B0011EO7FS/ref=dp_change_lang/503-8415677-5167124?ie=UTF8&language=en

It has a d-termnial input which is the only other way besides Component for the PSP to display a games image source.

The same person told me this:

It's a PCI-Express card, but, it requires a specific voltage (either 3.3v or 5v, I don't remember which). The drivers + application and stuff are all in japanese though

My question is, would this card work on my PC? Even tough it's a Japanese card?
If it is possible what are the things I need to take care of?

I'm in the middle if learning Japanese, but I don't know if my knowledge is still enough for something like installing.

Did you really need to open a new thread for this? Check out the old 480p capture card thread.

I have this card and my not very complimentary thoughts are here:

Fine for 480p in my experience, so good for PSP, but rubbish for HD, Intensity Pro being the better bet.

Well, I don't have anything higher than 480 anyway.

But, so you're saying that it's good just for the PSP and that it works with an American PC?

It'll work with any PC with a PCI Express slot. It's not as if PCs are region coded or anything.

Thanks!

Edit: BTW Does it work with DScaler?

Not properly.

Oh, that's a shame.
Do you know of any recording program that works properly with it?

MXCapture seems to be the only program that it works with.

VirtualDub works with it - but only at 480p.

You get comedic results like this (http://216.75.63.164/problem.wmv) when you try to capture 720p.

Did the mxcapture guy every respond?

Well I only plan on using it on the PSP which only has 480p right?
I will use another card for other consoles.
So, my questions is, can you re-confirm that there really aren't any problems with the card at 480p and Virtualdub?
Sorry for being pushy, but I don't want to waste money, since I only have one shot at this...

Blizzard, are you interested in a Blackmagic Intensity capture card (480i, 720p, 1080i)? I have an extra one that I don't need.

Thanks you, but the PSP only supports progressive scan (480p), so I think it wouldn't work with a PSP.
What card should I get? And more importantly where can I buy it online? XD
What about this one?

Would it work with DScaler too?
