OK. To be blunt, this is my first dive into divx. I have an DIVX encoded file. I installed DIVX 4.12. The Playa plays it, but with no sound. WMP8 (XP system) plays it, still no sound. PowerDVD plays it, again no sound.
A look at the .avi file shows the video compression is DivX codec, and the audio format is Windows Media Audio V2. I tried serching google for Windows Media Audio V2, and can only come up with anti-divx, warez, pirate, pro-Microsoft type stuff. The advice offered is to have my supplier re-encode using a legitimate codec.
Is there any way to get this audio working?
