I have an OGM with a muxed srt subtitle file. As with srt you can't define a font, vobsub uses the one it wants - as far as I know.

Because I don't like Arial for subtitles I wanted to change the font and went to Vobsub properties -> Main -> Text Settings to change the font.

But the subtitles are still shown in Arial. I also changed color, alignment, etc but everything remains as before.

Do I do something wrong in Vobsub or is the font somehow defined in the OGM?

edit: Some additional info:
OGM gets splitted by Haali, video/audio is decoded by ffdshow, subtitle and decoded video are connected to DirectVobSub which outputs to VMR9.

Hi!

If I remember correctly, you can also use ".SSA" subtitles.

I mention this because the ".SSA" subtitle (text) files include a header that contains, among other things, font name, font size, and font color(s).

You can convert your ".SRT" file to ".SSA" in about two seconds, by loading it in to the "Subresync.exe" program, that is part of the VOBSub package - and selecting "Save as" ".SSA"
