the problem is after i got 35%,45% from the movie i got this:

(MAXIMUM POSSIBLE VOB SEGMENTS, ENCODED FILE IS TOO LARGE.....USE LOWER BITRATE.)

well i use the lower bitrate possible and i still have the same problem.
please anyone can help me on this?what to do?

If the AVI files are compressed with DivX, Xvid, or any other lossy format, in the conversion to Mpeg2 (which is necessary for DVD) the resulting files will most likely be larger than the originals. A DVD will hold 4.7GB, or 8.6GB depending on whether its a single or dual layer disc. So check your converted file sizes. Are they too big?

And how many AVIs are you burning on the same DVD? The number of titles, titlesets or chapters are limited by the DVD-Video standard. The error could happen if a limit is reached.
