Does Blanking In Preview Remove Audio?

- Does blanking a VTS segment in the Preview/Edit section remove audio and subtitles? I've blanked there and then still see audio and subtitles are not "X'd" out under the Input Settings tab.

- I've then "X'd" them out after Preview/Edit, but if that creates a space savings I don't think it gets allocated to the Main Feature VTS. If they were "X'd" out before going to Preview/Edit and Blanking, I suspect the space savings would be allocated to the Main Feature. Would this be true?

If you blank it out, the audio is removed completely for the blanked segment. The "X's" remove audio from an entire VTS (all segments). Savings from blanked segments are only applied when you select to do so at a macro level (the menu) or by adjusting another segment.
