OK I would like to know how to shrink a DL ISO to single layer.

Regular Dual Layer DVD with scratches. RI4M and DVDFabHD unable to rip because of scratches. It plays just fine on stand alone. Tried using ISO Buster but after 26hours it completed it's job but within 3 seconds of attempting to play, extreme pixelation and stopped. Tried pretty much every progam I could find including trial programs, most because protection had to be removed first. Nero recode also unable to handle.

Went ahead and made ISO with DVDFabHD and burnt on dual layer, plays just fine, but in the future if this happens again can an ISO be ripped to a Video TS file and then shrunk using normal process programs?

I am going to guess that the multiple questions mean, what are you talking about if you burnt it.

Normal operation is to burn Video TS with RI4M or FabHD and subsequently shrink if needed to single layer. Use Nero to make image of Video TS and then burn image to single layer DVD. This way I end up with a image.nrg on the HDD if needed in the future.

Unable to accomplish this route with Disney, 2006 release, Full DVD attempt for my daughter because of the scratches.
Unable to get thru the rip process, that is why I ended up with a dbl layer iso. image instead of a single layer nrg. image.
This is the only image on the computer that is not nrg.. Going to attempt to find a way to convert from iso. to nrg., Nero recode won't do it.

Stange thing is after going thru all the attempted routes my dvd R/W ended up with the Movie title name instead of normal DVD-RAM Drive (G). Unable to change it untill I rebooted the computer, also RI4M keeps displaying a crashed message every time I open it. Will go to the forum suggested later in order to fix it.

What I'm ultimately asking for is can I convert the iso to an nrg and can I convert either the iso or nrg to a Video TS folder in order to shrink it to a single layer?

I'm afraid I still don't understand (perhaps others will or do) - If DVDFab is unable to rip the DVD because of the scratches, how is that same DVDFab able to rip the same DVD, with the same scratches, as a full DVD .ISO?

The only possibility I can think of, is that with the iso you are coping scratches and all, whereas with the video TS the program/s are checking for errors and if unable to correct, errors out.
As I said both original and copy plays fine on stand alone, virtual and HDD.
This is the first one that I was unsuccessful in turning into a Video TS folder and subsequently shrinking.

Would like to hear if any one has had success with ISOBuster, I know there was a thread on it but have not seen any results?:thanks:

1-Rip the dvd to a "DL ISO" with DVDFABHD DECRYPTER

2- Open DVDSHRINK and press CTRL+I and select the ISO from first step

3- Shrink the "DL ISO" to a DVD5 selecting iso as output

4 - burn the ISO from step 3 with IMGBURN

Does that work?

Ricardo,

Thanks, the Ctl I was the key. Able to burn the iso to a video TS folder and then to the single layer nrg.
