I searched about this, but couldn't really figure it out...

I have a disk here, "Shrek 3". I got an XBox360, so I used "vid.exe" v0.3 to retrieve the "VID" (002200004000...0020202020200000). I added this one to a file for DumpHD 0.4, it loaded the disk just fine but then gave me this (I removed the leading 00...):

DiscID : 850FCE6E45B2526DF30BCB25542873A7F0F0D7A7
Title : Shrek 3
Date : N/A
VID : 4000...0200000
VUK : N/A
TUK's : N/A
Files :
FEATURE_1.EVO
Processing disc AACS data... FAILED
Error initializing AACS, skipping disc set

So I figured I'd try MKB.exe. Unfortunately I am not really sure about the format of the "mkbfile". I just created a txt file which contains the VID, but then I get a "Skipped section 34" error.

I also tried AnyDVD HD 6.3.1.5, it also doesn't work :o

Any ideas? :(

Well, DumpHD couldn't work because a VID is not enough to decrypt a disc. You need a VUK or at least all used TUKs.

MKB.exe is pretty outdated, it only works with MKBv1 titles, and the "mkbfile" resides on the disc (MKBROM.AACS), you can't create your own one ;).

Next time you should try aacskeys 0.2.9, it can do everything that vid.exe and mkb.exe do and currently works up to MKBv3.

Sadly, i think it wouldn't help you with Shrek 3, regarding the release date (on amazon) it looks like this is a MKBv4 title. AnyDVD HD is currently the only one which can do these titles, maybe it didn't work the first time because it had to go online to acquire the VUK for that disc.
