ok I have some home movies, now from what I've read here is that my capture will be fairly big depending what encoder I use, however once thats done what is a good way to get it down so I can burn it on a dvd, I've been using using dvd flick for some other movies I have and it works good, however I have yet to try with a file bigger then 10 gb, so if someone could point me in the right direction I'd be thankful, by the way I'm using tv@nywhere plus for capturing, I have issue with with lines on the top and size of capture windows seem off, more on the right then the left, I gave virtualvcr a shot and know that u can fix that etc

yup

blake67!
Welcome.
For IMO good choice will be:
1) capture lossless codec like HuffYUV in VirtualDub
2) denoising video using Avisynth
3) denoising audio in soundforge
4) for MPEG-2 encoder exist more variant free HCENC, TMPGEnc and other (CCE, Mainconcept).
yup.
