I usually select the option "Shutdown at Batch Completion" before starting a batch process, but since version 1.27.1, DVD-RB don't shutdown the system when batch process are complete, I've tried to select the option before or during the processing. It worked well before.

Odd. No changes there. I'll take a look at it.

I am also having this issue, worked fine for previous versions.
I am running vista ultimate 32bit and "run as administrator" but it does not work anymore

Ran a 2 DVD batch encode last night myself and found the same issue with 1.27.2 - System still on and DVD-RB still open.

I had "Shutdown at Batch Completion" selected prior to starting batch but no other shutdown/close options ticked.

I only installed 1.27.1 last night (previously had 1.26.x) and overwrote the *.ini files when installing. I'm running as admin on WinXP sp2 with latest updates and .Net Frameworks up to 3.5 installed.

"Skip PREPARE Phase in Batch" also does not seem to work on my system.

Using 1.27.2, I made two projects with just the prepare phase done so I can adjust the bitrate of the segments in the viewer. Put the two saved projects in the batch and with the option checked to skip prepare, but it ran prepare anyway.

Did you remember to save the projects with the skip prepare option on?

I didn't know that. I thought you only had to check it before running the batch.

I'll try it again later. Thanks.

Exactly.

I just tested it -- and it works correctly. You must remember to SET THE FLAG BEFORE SAVING THE PROJECT. If you don't, the project will load without it set. Most of the flags are saved in the project file -- and they are set to the saved value when loaded.

Shutdown after batch processing on 1.27.2 doesn't work the same for me as it did on 1.26.6, On 1.26.6 I would create the batch projects, load them, then click "shutdown at batch completion" then start batch processing. "shutdown at batch completion" would "grey" out, then my system would shutdown after batch completion. With 1.27.2, following the same procedure as with 1.26.6, "shutdown at batch completion" would not "grey" out and my system won't shut down after batch completion.

I'm aware of the "No shutdown" issue and I'm working it.

I'm totally confused...until version 1.26.6 there wasn't any problem...
But since 1.7.1 and also in 1.7.2 dvdrb doesen't shutdown after batch processing.
I tried to save the project with this flag (with or without result not change..).
Also setting "shutdown after batch processing" before starting process.
But oddly when the second movie starts prepare Phase "shutdown at batch completion" would not set. In a test environment with dvdrb pro v1.26.6 with the same project it works well. Anyone can help me???
TIA

I've fixed it. It was a stupid error in which I'd misspelled the name of the INI file variable when reading... and as a result the value was reset to "off" every time a project file was loaded.... duhh..

The fix will be included in the next release (v1.27.3, coming very soon -- I'm testing it now).

JDobbs-

Will that new HD preset for the mobile section make the next release?

Not in the next one -- but probably the one after that.

That's cool - I'm eager to do some experimenting.

That's great, thanks...I think we've all had a few "duhh's" in our lifetime. :)
