I have a mpeg 2 video, and i want to demux so i can make a dvd.
The video has a duration of 2:42:00 but when i demux it the video reduces to 2:15:00 and the audio remains as the original, how can i resolve this?

What did you use to demux the audio and video? How did you measure the time of the demuxed video?

The ratio is close to 4/5, suggesting that the video has 3:2 soft pulldown and you loaded it into VirtualDubMod (or something similar), which doesn't honor the pulldown flags (but keeps the original frame rate). If you are going to ignore the flags you have to set the frame rate to 23.976fps.

I forgot to mention but i donīt know if itīs important the video size is 740X480 and the frame rate is 29.97, first i convert it from avi to mpeg and then i tried to demux.

If you don't answer my questions, I can't help you.

Now I have more questions, too. How did you make the AVI? How did you convert it to MPEG? Why don't you back up from your original DVD, instead of going through an AVI file?

In fact i downloaded the video in .avi format, but i changed the size with virtualdub because it was too small, and then i use the SUPER Đ to convert it to mpeg 2, there i forced to close gops and changed the aspect ratio to 16:9.

I hope this answers are enough, so you can help me, and sorry i didnīt understood the first question
