Do you use internal routine of MPC for MKV or do you still have Haali Matroska splitter installed/enabled (is part of CoreAVC installer, but available as standalone installer too)?
What decoder do you use now after deinstalled CoreAVC? FFdshow?

I don't know your answers will be yet, so i would generally suggest to install latest version of "ffdshow tryouts" and of "haali media splitter" while using default settings of them...
and disable internal filter support of mkv in MPC and set Haali's Video Renderer in Playback Output of MPC.

i decode with ffdshow which worked fine before but now has artifacts

i installed coreavc again with haali media splitter and set the haali media splitter in the output and the artifacts are still there
