For me DVD-RB has run fine on XP 64 and now is running fine on Vista 64 bit.
Edit: When I install everything for DVD backup on Vista 64... I install nothing into the "Program Files (x86)" or "Program Files" dir. I just put everything into a "c:\DVD backup" folder so Vista wouldn't give a hard time with Admin right.

what about avisynth and all the plugins ? and i though vista kicked up if you tried to write the c drive anyway, not just the program dirs

avisynth I installed in it's norm dir... but everything else in the c:\DVD backup folder... vista doesn't give me any issues in that dir

I left avisynth install into it's default folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\AviSynth 2.5" and everything else for dvd's to "C:\DVD backup\whatever program..."

I have both a q6600 with 4gb ram (ATI card 3870 x2) and a AMD 9600 black edition with 4 gb ram (ATI 3870 x2).... no problems here.
