Cant Burn Mpeg Movie To Vcd

I have converted a file using TMPGN, from an avi file to an mpeg.
When l go into Nero or Roxio CD Creator to burn it o a vcd,it says that eroor "SYSTEM CLOCK REFERENCE 1084, how do l fix this
.I followed the instructions correctly when converting Please help l am at my wits end, there must be an easy way to do this. I want to be able to watch movies using my home dvd player.

VCD MPEG files have a very specific format. I would try to demultiplex the video and the audio and remutiplex them in TMPEG's MPEG tools. Be sure to choose MPEG-1 Video CD.

the latest version of nero detects incompatible .mpg files for vcd and then gives an option to reencode the file to make it compatible. try it. it works perfectly for me.
