Is there a program for showing bitrate distribution for AAC or M4A files similar to EncSpot for MP3 files?
I would like to know how bitrate distribution differs between ABR and VBR using NeroAacEnc.
Also, could someone explain or point me to an article explaining how VBR works so I can make a better guess at the final file size for various audio files (since I know how they sound).
I'm assuming I can use the analogy with CRF in x264, where I can look at the video and make a good guess at the compressibility (bitrate) of the encoded video at a particular CRF.
